| The Paxton Switch 2 is a stand alone proximity access control system, the controller is mounted within a boxed power supply inside the secure area, the reader comes with a choice of two covers and approximately 2m of cable. Up to 10,000 users can be added to the system, fobs are supplied in a wallet with 'shadow cards' which are used to remove lost or stolen fobs from the memory. | | Biometric Devices  
 | Iris Reader : Biometric technology overcomes many of the disadvantages of conventional ID and verification techniques (passwords, tags, pin etc) The iris reader uses the complex and intricate patterns in the iris of the eye, which are unique to each individual. The iris templates are stored in a database and are compared with the image captured by the video camera, read time 0.3 seconds. With a error rate of 1 in 1,200,000 the chance of unauthorised access is unlikely. Readers are for internal use only. Finger Print Scanner : The Schlage DX-2000 is suitable for access control points with minimal traffic flow and small user populations, ie server rooms and document control facilities. A pin code is used in conjunction with the finger print scan to compensate for any read errors.Readers are for internal use only. | | PC Based Systems 
| The Paxton Net 2 is a PC based access control system, with a fairly low spec computer, a flexible easily expandable on-line access control system can be created with a capability of 10,000 users and 100's of doors, The Net 2 controller is mounted within a boxed DC power supply inside the secure area, a variety of readers are available. Magnets or releases can be used to secure the door. A Cat 5 cable is looped through each door controller and onto the PC via an interface. Fobs are added via a USB reader and the software is easy to use. |
