Access Control
We have found that the Paxton Switch 2 (stand alone systems) and Net 2 (on line systems) offer a good level of control and security for most educational establishments, with a choice of reader styles and over 10,000 users the system is unrivalled for cost effective and reliable security. All that is required is a cat 5 cable looped between each controller on the system to a control PC (where cards and system administration will take place) a local spur at each door will provide power for the control equipment which is housed within a 1/2Amp power supply.

CCTV
We have installed a number of CCTV systems for monitoring students, providing video evidence for attacks against staff and protecting the school buildings from damage and graffiti etc. For an entry level system, we recommend Ganz / Computar products as they are cost effective and have many of the features of the high end products. For more demanding applications Samsung Techwin equipment is generally the best solution.
Entry Level
For entry level systems we use Ganz cameras and DVR's, the exterior day/night cameras are ideal for most monitoring situations and are robust in design, the interior dome cameras also perform well, Computar lenses are used in some of the Ganz range.
Higher Specification
Samsung Techwin DVR's are we consider one of the best on the market, with networking capability and HDD expansion possibilities, the security monitors and cameras also offer superior performance and reliability.
